How a claim goes. From the photographs to the last shingle.
Most people have never filed a roof claim and the paperwork is where they get stuck. This is the whole thing in order, what you do, what we do, and what the insurance company does, so nothing on it surprises you.
The steps
- 1. The free inspection. We walk the roof and photograph the damage. If the storm did not do enough to make a claim, we say so here and stop.
- 2. You file. You call your insurance company and open the claim. We tell you what to say and we can be on the phone with you. Only you can open it; it is your policy.
- 3. The adjuster comes. Your insurer sends an adjuster to look at the roof. We meet them there, on the roof, with our photographs, so nothing gets missed from the ground.
- 4. The scope. The adjuster writes up what they will pay for. We read it line by line against what we found. If they missed the gutters, the siding, the vents, we ask for them in writing, with the photographs.
- 5. The work. Tear off to ridge cap, the way the pictures on this site show. Siding, gutters, soffit and fascia on the same job if the storm took those too.
- 6. Completion. Photographs of the finished roof for you and for the insurer, and the paperwork that releases the rest of the payment.

Your deductible
It is yours, and you pay it. That is how every homeowner policy works. A roofer who offers to make it disappear is telling you something about the rest of the job, and you should hear it.
What we will not do
We will not tell you a roof is a claim when it is a repair. We will not file for you or sign for you. We will not start work before you and your insurer have agreed the scope.
Those are the three ways a roof claim goes wrong, and none of them is fast, honest or elite.
Free roof inspections, as many as you need, all year. Fast. Honest. Elite. That's the whole promise: we come out fast, we tell you what we found and show you the pictures, then if your roof is fine we say so. Storm damage, repairs, full replacements, siding, gutters, soffit and fascia, throughout Louisville. A roof that keeps the weather out, and a claim that gets paid.
Questions people ask
A storm just came through. What do I do?
Call (502) 915-9758 or text a photo of what you can see from the ground. We come out, get on the roof, photograph everything, and tell you straight whether it is a repair, a claim or nothing at all. The inspection is free, every time.
Do you handle the insurance claim?
Yes. We document the damage with photographs, help you file, and walk the claim through with you. Storm damage and claims.
What does the free inspection cover?
The whole roof, the flashing, the vents and boots, the gutters, the siding, the soffit and fascia. You get the photographs and a plain answer. Unlimited, year round.
What shingles do you install?
GAF, CertainTeed and Owens Corning. Our inspectors carry certifications from all three.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes. Every time, all year, and there is no catch. If the roof is fine, you hear that too.
I already have an estimate. Will you look at it?
Bring it. We look at the roof and the estimate and tell you straight.
Where do you work?
Louisville and the area around it. Not sure if that's you? Call and ask.
